Launching a new delivery service in Denmark

Gorillas is an on-demand grocery delivery startup and the fastest-ever company in Europe to reach unicorn status. They deliver groceries in minutes and pride themselves on being ‘faster than you’. COPUS helped Gorillas announce a record-breaking $1 billion funding round, the largest funding round in the European grocery delivery sector to date.

In June 2021, Gorillas launched in Denmark. They had a short timeframe and needed help with fast execution and promotion of their service and brand. COPUS was hired a week before launch to help put Gorillas on the map, by handling all public relations in Denmark.



A short timeframe implied COPUS and Gorillas had to move fast. Together we laid the foundation for a relevant and fast media impact; then we started executing it. The result was a broad promotion of Gorillas in more than ten relevant Danish media outlets at launch in Denmark.



The key objective for COPUS was to create brand awareness and put Gorillas on the map. Prior to the launch, most Danes were not familiar with Gorillas. Hence there was a solid opportunity to land a core story, introducing Gorillas to a wide range of top-tier publications in Denmark, spanning from lifestyle magazines and food outlets to business publications.



COPUS successfully assured Gorillas' launch coverage in more than ten media outlets. Throughout the following six months of partnership, COPUS further secured +50 stories about Gorillas in outlets such as Finans, Berlingske, Børsen and Euroman.
